A county coroner in southeast Alabama says three people have been killed in a nightclub shooting.
Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd tells The Associated Press the three were shot late Thursday night at Teaser's, a nightclub outside Dothan.
Houston County sheriff's Capt. Antonio Gonzalez tells The Dothan Eagle a suspect was in custody Friday morning.
Byrd says the victims were shot with a handgun, and that they were struck mostly in the abdomen and chest areas. He said the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. after some type of dispute among patrons at the club.
The nightclub, in the Wicksburg community just west of Dothan, is about 100 miles southeast of Montgomery.
Few other details were immediately available Friday morning.
