A man has been arrested after grabbing a woman's purse and fighting with a store clerk trying to stop it.
Police say the 25 year-old suspect grabbed the purse of a 21 year-old woman as she and her mom walked out of a store in the 1500 block of east Central Tuesday morning.
The victim, her mother and a store clerk fought with the suspect. Police say the suspect then hit the store clerk over the head before running with the woman's wallet.
Police arrested the suspect a short time later at a nearby apartment complex. He was booked for aggravated battery.
The store clerk was not seriously injured.
