A man has been killed in a shooting outside a suburban Kansas City office building.
Police in Mission say a man in his 50s was shot in the building's parking lot early Thursday and he died later at a hospital. Police are searching for the shooter.
Mission Police Capt. David Moloy said the shooting was not work-related and the apparent motive was personal, not robbery.
Witnesses told police that two men had an argument in the building's parking lot before one shot the other several times.
The Kansas City Star reports the victim was an employee of the University of Kansas Hospital, which issued a statement expressing condolences to the employee and his family.
