A 33 year-old New Cambria man will spend over 11 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of distributing methamphetamine.
In his plea, Shane Curtis Sheets admitted to conspiring with his co-defedants Lisandro Clara-Fernandez, Kevin Dale Ashcraft and Dennis Augustine, to distribute methamphetamine in the Salina-area.
The I-35/I-70 Drug Task Force Began investigating the case back in 2011. His co-defendants have already been sentenced for their role in the trafficking operation.
Lisandro Clara-Fernandez will serve four and a half years in prison. Kevin Dale Ashcraft was sentenced to just under 8 years in prison.
Dennis Augustine will spend 20 years in federal prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney Randy Hendershot helped prosecute the case.
