The reward has been increased for any information that leads to an arrest in the 2010 murder of 55-year-old Chris Jones.

On April 2, 2010, Jones was at his apartment in the 2200 block of South Oliver when someone knocked on his door. When he answered, he was shot multiple times and killed. No suspects have been identified.

Through December 28th, Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County will be profiling a cold case each week with an increased award.

A tip that leads to an arrest will result in a $2,000 reward, twice the normal Crime Stoppers amount.

“The Crime Stoppers Advisory Committee feels it is important to take this step as a way to encourage someone with information about these unsolved crimes to come forward and help close them,” said Gordon Bassham, executive director for Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County.

Anyone with information on this case or any other felony crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111 or by texting TIP217 to CRIMES (274637). You can also tip via their website by clicking on the link below.

Tips can be given anonymously.
