The Kansas Attorney General's Office has taken over the investigation into the death of a Colby woman Saturday morning.

27 year-old Teri Morris was found inside of her burning home shortly before 7 o'clock. She was taken to an area hospital where she died a short time later.

Morris's 11 month-old baby and the suspect were found in Logan, in Phillips County, about 80 miles away. The 24 year-old suspect who is from Garden City, is being held in the Thomas County Jail.

The Kansas Attorney General's Office is not releasing his name.
