A complaint about the odor of marijuana led to the arrest of a Hays man and seizure of more than $20,000 in cash last month.
On February 11, Hays police officers responded to a complaint of a marijuana odor at an apartment in the 500 block of West 19th.
Police made contact with the 33-year-old man inside, and further investigation led to his arrest.
Inside his apartment, officers seized $23,000 cash and 2 pounds, 10 ounces of marijuana.
He is currently being held on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and no drug tax stamp.
