A Wichita man’s phone was stolen Sunday morning after he failed to pay a prostitute, an incident that landed three people in jail.
It happened around 6 a.m. in the 3200 block of South Chase.
Wichita Police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen says a 33-year-old homeowner arranged to have a prostitute come to his house.
“She came over to the house, and after they were done he was unable to pay for the services,” Brunscheen said.
She then left with her “business associate.” Both returned to the home a short time later, forced their way into the residence and took the homeowner’s cell phone.
Officers responded after a neighbor called 911 and took all three into custody.
The homeowner was arrested on one count of prostitution; the 24-year-old prostitute was charged with aggravated burglary and prostitution; and the 28-year-old man with her was charged with aggravated burglary, obstruction and possession of a firearm by a felon.
