A man is in serious condition after police say he was stabbed during a fight at a northeast Wichita liquor store. It happened just after 5 p.m. at The Liq at the intersection of 21st Street and Grove Street.

Police say the 60-year-old victim got into a disagreement with a younger man on the store property and was stabbed in the stomach by that man. He drove to his home near 24th Street and Minnesota Street and called 911.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police are looking for a man they describe as an African-American in his 30s or 40s with either dreadlocks or braided hair. His identity is unknown at this time.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the police.
