A man is recovering after being shot twice Wednesday night in south Wichita.
It happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of East Tulsa.
Wichita Police were called to the report of shots fired in that area. Before they arrived, Via Christi Hospital on Harry called police about a walk-in shooting victim.
The 22-year-old man had been brought to the hospital by someone else, and had been shot once in the side and once in the leg. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police say the victim is a documented gang member and that there was a fight shortly before the shooting occurred.
Officers are also looking for witnesses, but getting little cooperation. No arrests have been made.
