Two people were injured after crashing a car while running from police.
It happened shortly before 2 a.m. when police tried to stop a speeding Jeep Cherokee near Pawnee and Woodlawn. The driver sped away and police began pursuing the car.
The driver turned into a residential area and soon after lost control at a bridge, flipping the car.
Two people were in the car at the time of the crash. Both were taken to an area hospital, where the driver has been treated and since arrested. He was booked into jail facing charges of felony evade and elude, DUI and other outstanding warrants.
The passenger remains hospitalized with a broken collarbone, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
