A teenager was arrested after allegedly stabbing his father Monday morning.
It happened as a 61-year-old man was driving in the 2400 block of West Orient at about 11:40 a.m. Monday. That's when police say the man and his 17-year-old son began arguing.
As the argument intensified, the teen allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed his father in the right side of the shoulder.
The man was able to pull over, and one of the other passengers called 911.
When police arrived, they arrested the teenager and booked him on aggravated battery. The older man was taken to a Wichita hospital and kept overnight for observation, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
