Winfield Police arrested a man who allegedly entered William Newton Hospital with a gun Saturday morning.
Sources who were at the hospital when the incident happened about 9:30 a.m. tell KAKE News the man was a former patient and he never pulled the gun. The hospital was placed on lockdown as a precaution. Nobody was hurt.
The Cowley County Sheriff's Office said only that there had been an arrest in connection with the incident and that no further information would be released until Monday.
