Michael Williams was handed down a life in prison sentence Friday morning for the first degree murder of his roommate, Sean Putnam, in the winter of 2010.
Prosecutors alleged that Williams intentionally shot and killed Putnam before burying his body behind a home in Oaklawn.
During the hearing, witnesses were called to testify that Williams had a criminal past.
