A western Indiana woman facing up to 30 years in prison says she's sorry she stabbed a couple while trying to kidnap their month-old son.
Stephanie Foster told reporters she was "very sorry" Friday as Vigo County sheriff's deputies walked her from the jail to the courthouse for a sentencing hearing.
The 36-year-old Terre Haute woman pleaded guilty May 14 to a felony charge of armed robbery resulting in serious bodily injury in the June 2010 attack.
In return, prosecutors agreed to drop charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
Foster also says she has "no idea" how long her sentence might be.
Prosecutors say Foster faked pregnancy after a miscarriage and stabbed Ashley Speer during an attempt to steal Speer's son and pass him off as her own.
