Husband Arrested In Death Of Topeka Woman

Police have made an arrest in the death of a Topeka woman.

Manuel Alcala, the husband of the victim, Ashley Alcala, was arrested in Shawnee County around 8:00 p.m. Saturday and booked for first-degree murder.

WIBW-TV reports Ashey, 34, was found just before 7:30 am Thursday in the 3000 block of Southeast Kentucky Avenue in Topeka.

Ashey was the Topeka’s third homicide victim in three days.

Two men are also being detained in El Paso, Texas for questioning in the case. Their names have not been released.
