The first of eight people charged in the deadly holdup of a Wichita man visiting Missouri to watch his cousin play football has pleaded guilty.
Aaron Hobson was robbed and shot October 23, 2010 as he drove through the parking lot of a Columbia convenience store. A passenger said several people approached the car and demanded money.
24-year-old Daron Peal pleaded guilty in Boone County Circuit Court to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Peal had been identified as the shooter by investigators.
Hobson was the 22-year-old cousin of University of Missouri defensive back Trey Hobson.
