Game Ticket Dispute Leads To Hammer Attack

A dispute over a game ticket leaves one man with a damaged vehicle and another facing possible assault charges.

Wichita Police were called to the Valero station at 731 Ridge Road Wednesday morning.

A 28-year-old man had a game machine he wanted to cash. When he went to cash it, the machine declared the ticket as invalid.

The game owner arrived and refused to validate the ticket. The 28-year-old man got a hammer from his vehicle and threatened the game owner.

The 28-year-old got back into his car, and threw the hammer at the game owner's car, breaking out the back window.

Officers believe they know the suspect, but they are asking anyone who saw the altercation to call 911.
