A former Riley county corrections officer is facing several charges after being arrested by Wabaunsee county officials.
Riley County authorities announced Tuesday that 30-year-old Russ McCormick was arrested on charges of trafficking in contraband in a correctional facility, unlawful sexual relations and promoting obscenity.
He was released on $2,500 bond.
However, county officials say they can't release more details about what led to the arrest on Friday.
KMAN reports McCormick had been a corrections officer for two years. He was not working as a corrections officer when he was arrested.
It was not immediately clear if McCormick had an attorney.
