A former parts manager for a truck center in Salina is sentenced to a year in federal prison for embezzling from the company.

Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old Jamie D. Wood also was sentenced Thursday and ordered to pay $577,845 in restitution to the Kansas Truck Center.

While pleading guilty to one count of mail fraud, Wood admitted that he created false invoices while a parts manager at the business.

The false invoices showed that the truck center bought parts from one of Wood's friends, although the company had not received any goods or services from the friend.
