Police are investigating a break-in at the Southwest Boys Club that happened earlier this week.
At some point between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, someone broke into the complex located at 2104 W. 45th St. S. Once inside the thief or thieves stole an AC unit, along with bats, balls and other sports and grounds equipment.
The Southwest Boys Club has been in Wichita for 50 years. It provides baseball programs for kids of various ages in that part of Wichita.
This is the third time in a year the baseball complex has been burglarized. Director of Operations Kelly Oder says it's heartbreaking for the kids.
"It's not affecting us as a company, as SW Boys Club," said Oder, " but the 700 kids who play here every year. "
