Wichita police have arrested one man in connection with a series armed robberies.
Investigators say the first robbery happened at the Sonic in the 1200 block of North Broadway around 10 p.m. last night. A man with a gun walked inside the restaurant and demanded cash from two employees. The victims say the suspect took the money and walked across the street where he met up with a second man.
The next robbery was reported just before 5 a.m. this morning at the Quik Trip in the 2000 block of South Broadway. Police say the man once again demanded money from employees and walked way. This time, when officers arrived on the scene they found a wallet outside the store. Officers are trying to determine if it has any connection.
A third robbery was reported just after 8 a.m. at the Spangles in in the 600 block of South Broadway. Police found the suspect nearby a short time later and took him into custody. He was arrested and booked into jail on robbery charges. The second man who was seen after the first robbery has not been located.
