7th Man Dies After Minnesota Company Shooting In September

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Family members of a man shot and wounded in Minnesota's deadliest workplace shooting say he has died of his injuries.

The family of Eric Rivers said in a statement Thursday that he passed away at Hennepin County Medical Center on Wednesday night. The death toll from the shooting at Accent Signage Systems on Sept. 27 stands at six, not including the shooter who police say took his own life.

Rivers was one of three people wounded in the shooting. He had been hospitalized in critical condition since the attack.

Gunman Andrew Engeldinger had just been fired from the Minneapolis company for lateness and poor performance when he pulled out a gun and launched his attack.
