The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several counties in western Kansas.

The watch includes Cheyenne, Finney, Grant, Haskell, Kearny, Logan Morton, Scott, Seward, Stanton, Stevens and Wichita Counties until 10 p.m. CDT. Other counties included are Greeley, Hamilton Sherman and Wallace Counties until 9 p.m. MDT.

Any severe weather that develops today could pack high winds and damaging hail.

The KAKE First Alert Forecasters will continue to monitor the situation. Check back for updates.
