A Salina man is dead following a crash in western Kansas Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just after 3 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 56 about 2 miles east of Kinsley in Edwards County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Charles Kerth of Salina was driving a semi eastbound on Highway 56 when, for reasons unknown, he left the roadway.
Kerth's semi crashed into a second semi that was waiting at a northbound stop sign on 110 Road.
Kerth was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other semi, 50-year-old Daniel Haynes of Kinsley, was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
