Man To Spend 16 Years In Prison On Meth Charges

A Cherokee County man was sentenced to more than 16 years in prison Friday after pleading no contest to methamphetamine charges.

A judge sentenced 44-year-old Micky W. Bunce of Weir to 200 months in prison for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine and lithium metal, use of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

The case was investigated by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
