Man Killed In Haskell County Crash

A southwest Kansas man was killed after his car was hit by another vehicle early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m. on County Road KK just south of US 160 in Haskell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a car driven by Nicholas Chaffin, 24, of Sublette, was broken down in the middle of the road. Another vehicle was responding to help and hit the truck.

Chaffin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
