A man is in critical condition and two others are in custody following a stabbing late last night in Hutchinson.

It happened shortly before midnight Monday in the 600 block of East 4th Street. Hutchinson Police say several people forced their way into a home at that location and attacked the resident, Jeffrey Payne.

Payne was initially taken by private vehicle to a Hutchinson hospital, then was taken by helicopter to Wichita.

Officers have since arrested two men in connection to the case. Early Tuesday, police arrested 22-year-old Jordan Leshore of Hutchinson. He was booked for attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary and aggravated assault. He's currently being held in the Reno County jail on a $520,000 bond.

Officers also arrested Sean Carlos Arevalo Mendoza for aggravated burglary, conspiracy to commit aggravated battery and felony interference with law enforcement. He's also being held in Reno County, with a $16,500 bond.

Hutchinson Police are asking for the public's help in locating four others wanted for questioning in the case. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joseph Leshore, Troy Bell and Desmond and John Cantu is asked to call police at (620) 694-2832 or 694-2816.
