IKEA is announcing plans to open their first store in Kansas.
The Sweden-based home furnishings retailer is set to announce plans Thursday morning for a location in Merriam, just outside of Kansas City.
The store is expected to open in Fall 2014
Currently, there are 38 IKEA locations across the U.S., with the closest to Kansas located in Colorado and Texas.
