A Goodland man is dead after he was hit by a car late Tuesday night.
It happened at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 17th and Broadway in Goodland.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Jeffrey A. Badgett walked into the roadway and was hit by a Jeep Cherokee heading eastbound on 17th.
Badgett was pronounced dead at the scene. The 31-year-old driver of the Cherokee was not hurt. The accident remains under investigation.
