Augusta, Kan. -- Fire has damaged a home on Augusta's east side.
the fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. Saturday near 12th Avenue and Hooper Drive. Four people lived at the home but were not home at the time of the fire.
A dog that was inside made it out safely. Winds played factor in helping to feed the fire, but the cause is still under investigation.
A damage estimate was not available at the scene. Augusta Fire Major Ray Marbut says the home may be a total loss.
