Construction crews hit major water line, creating 'geyser'

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — A major waterline break created a temporary "geyser" in Topeka.

Construction workers told KAKE's sister station, WIBW 13 News, that the line was supposed to have been moved and shut off before construction began.

Local residents say their water has been 'shut-off' three times in the last couple of days because of water line breaks.

Topeka Water crews were finally able to shut off the water supply about 8:30 a.m.
