A Colorado woman was critically injured in a rollover accident on Interstate 70.
It happened shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday about two miles north of Wilson in the eastbound lanes of the interstate. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Amber Vasey, of Fredrick, Colorado, was driving east when she crossed into the median, over-corrected and rolled the pickup truck she was driving.
Vasey was trapped inside and had to be extracted by the Wilson Fire Department. She was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
Her passenger, 24-year-old George Gilbert also of Fredrick, was taken to Ellsworth Medical Center for treatment.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
