A gas station clerk was seriously wounded after being shot during a robbery last night in Topeka.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Valero Gas Station at 1161 S.W. Gage around 11 p.m. Sunday night. When they arrived they found a clerk suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The clerk was taken to a local hospital. The name of the victim was not released.

Police say two armed male suspects left the scene traveling an unknown direction. They say one of the suspects was wearing a red bandana around his face both suspects were wearing dark hoodies. A dark Chevy Monte Carlo was seen leaving the area and may be involved.
