Governor Sam Brownback has announced the appointment of Delia Maria York to serve as judge for the 29th Judicial District in Kansas City, Kansas. York will serve out the remainder of former Judge John J. McNally's term which ends in 2015.
McNally resigned earlier this year.
In a news resleasr, the Govoner said, “Delia has nearly 20 years of legal experience as a prosecutor and government counsel. The abundance of her knowledge and experience in the court system as an attorney will serve the 29th Judicial District well.”
York has served as Assistant Counsel for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County since 1998. She also served as an assistant district attorney.
