The Kansas Attorney General's Office has released the name of the man arrested in connection to the death of a Colby woman.

Twenty-seven-year-old Teri L. Morris was found inside of her burning home shortly before 7 o'clock Saturday morning. She was transported to a local hospital where she died a short time later.

Agents with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation took 24-year-old William Andrew Shank into custody in Logan County later that day. Shank, a resident of Garden City, is currently being held at the Thomas County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The KBI, Kansas Highway Patrol, Colby Police Department, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Fire Marshall’s office are still investigating the case. The Kansas Attorney General's Office has taken over responsibility for reviewing the investigation.
