Arkansas City Police say they are continuing to investigate a series of tire slashings that took place back on December 22.
In a news release, Chief Sean Wallace says officers were called out early in the morning to the 800 block of South B Street. They found several vehicles with slashed tires.
In all, police took reports of nine slashed tires from the 500 block of North B street to the 300 block of East Van Buren Avenue. The damage is estimated at $2,500.
Chief Wallace says several juveniles were interviewed by police which allowed police to identify a suspect. The child was turned over to the custody of his parents.
Chief Wallace says the vandalism is still under investigation.
