2 Killed, 4 Hurt In Eastern Kansas Accident

Two Oklahomans were killed and four others hurt in a three-car accident in eastern Kansas Saturday.

It happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday on Highway 69 about 6 miles south of Fort Scott in Bourbon County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was heading southbound side-swiped a northbound Chevrolet HHR. The HHR spun around and was hit on the passenger side by a southbound Jeep Patriot.

Two people were killed in the crash. A passenger in the HHR, 31-year-old Mandy N. Shaw of Park Hill, Oklahoma was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Patriot, 31-year-old Jacob H. Perry of Welch, Oklahoma was also killed.

Four others were hurt in the crash, including one from the Trailblazer and another from the Patriot. The driver of the HHR was also injured as was an 8-year-old passenger.

The crash remains under investigation.
