Contract talks between Spirit Aerosystems and SPEEA's Wichita technical and professional unit kicked off today in downtown Wichita.
Spirit was expected to present its proposal to the union during Monday’s main table negotiations.
The negotiations affect about 2,300 Spirit employees, about a quarter of Spirit's Wichita workforce.
The contract between the two groups is set to expire July 11th.
