Spirit AeroSystems has announced it has named two industry veterans to fill vacant roles in the company's senior leadership team.
Heidi Wood has been named Senior Vice President of Strategy, and Duane Hawkins will be Senior Vice President of Operations.
Wood spent 13 years with Morgan Stanley as managing director and global head aerospace/defense analysis. She also served on the Presidential Commission for the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry and is widely regarded as a top aerospace and defense industry expert.
Duane Hawkins is a 30-year veteran of the aerospace industry, having worked in executive positions for Raytheon Missile Systems, Defense Research Inc. and General Dynamics in operational roles including program management, manufacturing engineering and supply chain. Hawkins heads to Spirit from Raytheon Missile Systems, where he has served since 2012 as vice president, deputy, air warfare systems.
