Salina's loss is Duluth, Minnesota's gain.

AAR Corporation announced this week it would expand to Duluth, Minnesota. The move could eventually bring 225 jobs to Duluth International Airport.

AAR, which was searching for a facility to service regional jets, considered Salina's airport as a possible location for its expansion. The company held a job fair in Salina in July, 2011.

The decision to expand to Duluth ends a year-long search by AAR, which currently operates facilities in Miami, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City and Hot Springs, Arkansas.
