Beechcraft employees in Wichita may have new questions about their future. New reports indicate the company may be up for sale.

Bloomberg reported Thursday the Credit Suisse group is seeking bidders to buy Beechcraft. The report cites sources saying Textron could be a potential buyer. Textron is the parent company of Cessna.

None of the main players in the story commented to Bloomberg.

Beechcraft came out of bankruptcy last February as a standalone company. The numbers are good, with airplane deliveries in the second quarter up 75 percent from last year.

Our media partner the Wichita Business Journal reported in July a sale was possible this year. It cited the Aero Business Group of Wichita, which called Beechcraft a candidate for acquisition.

Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer has been in China this week, promoting aviation. Beechcraft was nearly sold to A Chinese firm last year.
