SINGAPORE -- Cessna has signed a deal to deliver three Citation CJ4 business jets to the Japanese government.

The deal announced today will provide the jets to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Civil Aviation Bureau. It is the first ever CJ4 deliveries to Japan.

The aircraft will be used as part of the ministry's mission to confirm the accuracy of air navigation capabilities, air routes, and air traffic control facilities. The jets will be equipped with flight inspection systems.

The company says the CJ4 deliveries are a sign of the growing popularity of the Cessna Citation aircraft in the country.

Bill Harris, Cessna Vice President of Sales for Asia and Asia Pacific, says, "Businesses in Japan are taking notice of the efficiencies and flexibility offered by business aviation...As time goes on, we are confident more corporations will see Citation jets as consistent, valuable business tools providing more time and opportunity to conduct business.”
