Douglas County farmer and tractor dealer Elmer Johanning arrived at his final resting place in a style befitting his life.

Ten Case tractors led the procession to Lawrence's Memorial Park Cemetery Tuesday for Johanning, who died Saturday at the age of 91.

Johanning, who was known locally as "The Case Man" after selling Case tractors for 35 years, approved the plans before he died, saying the tractor procession sounded like "a good celebration."

Johanning's daughter, Mary Wakeman, said one of tractors that her father owned carried him to the cemetery.

Johanning, who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was buried with military honors.
