Chicken lovers in a Kansas City suburb are fit to be fried. The Overland Park City Council is rejecting backyard chickens again.
The council has voted unanimously to deny a one-year test permit to brothers David and Bill Crupper. The brothers want permission to keep four hens because they like fresh eggs.
Four years ago, the council rejected a similar request. Opponents charge legal chickens could make a mess of local property values.
