Nebraska Reports Another Safe Haven Case
A 17-year-old boy left at an Omaha hospital is the 24th child to be abandoned under Nebraska's safe-haven law.

Kansas could use a law like this. Maybe it would prevent some babies being tossed into dumpsters. Or teenagers......

This law was not thought through very well. They are going to have to make some adjustments. People seem to think they can dump their unruly teenagers there.

Opps, not sure how old grandma is. But grandma may have been at her witts-end. I think better to take them to safe have than to have a child abuse case or elder abuse.

What do you mean, "how do you abandon a 17yr old"? I think with attitudes and mouthiness, it would probably be very easy. Also an 85 yr old grandmother probably doesn't have enough energy for it; attitude & mouthiness.
