Wichita Wings Seeking New Ownership

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

The Wichita Wings soccer team is looking for a new owner.

On a news release posted to the team's website Tuesday morning, Hartman Sports says it has initiated the process of seeking a new ownership group "to ensure the continuation of the popular Major Indoor Soccer League franchise."

Wink Hartman acquired the rights to a Major Indoor Soccer League franchise and 2010 and resurrected the Wings organization for the 2011-12 season.

An internal review within all companies of the Hartman Group was recently conducted, and it was decided that ownership needed to be shifted to a group that could dedicate its primary focus and resources towards operation of the team.

“The Wichita Wings is a great organization. It is time for an ownership group that can focus 100% of their time to take control and create a winning team on and off the field. The MISL future is very bright and I know the Wings will continue to be a major part of their success,” said current owner, Wink Hartman.

The team is working with the MISL league, and hope to have new owners prior to finalization of the 2013-14 MISL alignment that happens in early summer.

Interested buyers can contact Wink Hartman at (316) 636-2090.
