I-Team Scam Alert: Concert Ticket Scam

Although there are many reputable online ticket brokers you need to be careful. Scammers are printing or selling fake tickets to sporting events, concerts and Broadway shows and selling them at auction or websites. There turn out to be beautiful fakes of the original ticket.

Here are some precautions to take;

Know your seller. This is one of the basics no matter what you are buying. Read the seller's feedback carefully. Check the positive feedback percentage and detailed seller ratings.

Refuse to be rushed. scam artist also try to hurry their victims into making a decision. It's a sense of urgency to act now.

Artist, venue, show date. Make sure the listing is for exactly the show you want.

Never buy any ticket from a listing which clearly shows the barcode in a photo. If all the barcode info is out there for the world to see there's a chance that the information was used by a scammer to already sell the tickets on another site. You would never know the tickets were no good until you tried to get in to the venue.
