Airbus is continuing to expand in Wichita, adding space and additional jobs at their Old Town locations.
The company already owns two buildings in Old Town, and will expand into a third on May 1. The new location is adjacent to their existing buildings.
“When we expanded to 238 N. Mead in 2012, we expected to add 100 jobs; we have since increased by about 150. The new building will give us 10,000 square feet which we will use to give more space to our current employees, and allow for future growth,” said John O'Leary, Vice President of Engineering for Airbus Americas.
Airbus Americas Engineering currently employs about 400 people in Wichita, focused on airframe design and analysis for wing structures.
