Laredo scored six unanswered runs, beginning with a three-run bottom of the third, to overcome an early 2-0 Wingnuts' lead. Five walks and a Jimmy Mojica RBI double in the bottom of the third made it 3-2 Laredo. The Lemurs took a 4-2 lead in the fourth when Javier Brito reached on a two-out, infield single.

Laredo starter Ryan Sasaki escaped a bases loaded, no out jam in the top of the fifth to keep the Lemurs in the front by two runs. In the bottom of the inning, an RBI single from Anthony Scelfo and an error charged to reliever Jared Simon brought in Laredo's fifth and sixth runs.

The clubs traded single runs in the eighth inning. Mike Conroy beat out a potential double play ball in the top half to drive in David Peralta. Stephen Douglas hit a two-out, RBI double to left-center in the bottom half.

Mike Benacka struck out the side for a second straight night to close out the game for Laredo.

Anthony Capra started and took the loss for Wichita, allowing four earned runs on four hits in four innings. Capra walked seven and struck out three.

Sasaki earned the win, allowing two earned runs on nine hits in five and two-thirds. Sasaki walked one and struck out one.

Wichita took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second. Blake Bergeron led off the inning with a line drive home run that just cleared the left field wall. Gerardo Avila hustled out a double on a groundball to center field and then scored on a single to center by Peralta.
